Over lubrication can be detrimental to the device as can under lubrication. To avoid that, some devices come equipped with oil or grease reservoirs that will ensure that the right amount of lubricant is applied. Not too much, not to less.

Sounds good! However, I would distinguish between minimum and minimal. In this case I would prefer minimum to indicate that the device will always be lubricated sufficiently when equipped with this optional feature.
