General Examination or On Examination

Explanation:
Ectoscopy is definitely an obsolete word both in Portuguese and English medical languages. It refers to the first part of the physical examination that encompasses a set of observations (physical appearance, temperature, weight, height, nutritional state, skin conditions, etc.) and precedes the systematic examination, i.e. examination of the different systems (cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, GI, musculoskeletal, urinary tract, etc.).
You can consider it as an "external" examination but measurements like temperature, weight or height aren't properly "external". The right terminology is therefore "GENERAL EXAMINATION"
