French term or phrase: Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG)
I've encountered this in a lengthy document on the Moroccan stock market. It first appears in a table listing types of investors in various categories of debt securities, where it is shown as "Banques et CDG". Below the table, it appears in full form.

I'm looking for advice on (a) exactly what the CDG in Morocco is, and (b) what to do with this term in the text. My usual approach would be to leave it in French, followed by a concise explanation in brackets of what it is, but here I have a problem - I've been searching on the web and so far have not found anything which gives me any kind of clear idea of what the CDG is. But I don't feel I can really leave it in the original French with no supporting explanation.

Any help greatly appreciated.

keep the French + give an explanation in brackets if you want. There is enough for an explanation on the second link....

Asker: Hi Francis, Well, yes, that's a translation, but isn't this some kind of official govt institution in Morocco, and if so doesn't that need stating?

Asker: Thanks Francis - you kind of said the same as Julie, but only one person can have the points!
