"Behoudens bezwaar of andersluidend voorstel, gedaan uiterlijk éénendertig augustus tweeduizend en zeven verklaren partijen zich wederzijds akkoord met de openbare verkoop van de onroerende goederen, voorwerp van voormelde schenking, gelegen te XXX. Partij onder 1 verklaart hierbij uitdrukkelijk vorderingen uit hoofde van inkorting, dan wel inbreng te beperken tot vorderingen in minderontvangst en af te zien van elk zakelijk effect. "

Could someone please help me understand the section: "vorderingen uit hoofde van inkorting, dan wel inbreng te beperken tot vorderingen in minderontvangst"

I would not rely on Van Dale for this. The explanations don't sound right to me. Why not Juridisch Lexicon?
Minderontvangst is a term used for a shortfall - i.e. getting less than expected. I am not saying that "shortfall" is the right term here. No doubt someone else has a better idea. If you could find the French equivalents it would be easier (at least for me).

Asker: Thanks for your suggestion Andre. I'll try to give some more information regarding the scope. The text is a notarial record of the proceedings for the settlement and distribution of a joint estate. Some of the property has been acquired as a gift. For this particular phrase I've come up so far with the following translation: "to limit claims on account of either revocation or collation to claims ...." Van Dale explains "inkorting van giften" as "recovery / revocation of gifts" and "inbreng" as "collation, return of advancements to an estate". But I'm not sure whether I'm right in using these terms in this context or whether it means something else altogether. I haven't been able to come up with anything for "in minderontvangst". It could indeed be "claims in shortfall" but I'd feel really sure if I could understand it a bit better (through other sources, references etc.). Its awfully quiet here this weekend ;-)), I do hope I get some more suggestions soon!
