In dem Sinne, dass alles 'knapper' wird und man eben der genaueste sein muß um zu überleben.

Ich denke mal, dass mit 'contracting' schrumpfend gemeint ist, da das in den letzten Jahren doch ein Hauptthema der Musikindustrie ist.
