exagerar también es sinónimo de hinchar, además en el arte se tiende a exagerar ciertos aspectos que se desean resaltar

observe igualmente la exageración del vientre

Ahora, de tus opciones 'prominencia' me parece mejor, creo que 'hinchazón' no sería para un contexto así
