Ciao a tutti,
mi trovo di fronte a questo gioco di parole:
"Help me right my wrongs. Grant me another chance to serve before XXX gives me the axe... Perhaps literally"

So che "give the axe" vuol dire licenziare, ma qui andrebbe mantenuto anche l'altro significato, vale a dire che questo XXX non è per nulla magnanimo ed piuttosto restio a perdonare chi fa errori. Potrebbe quindi essere capace anche di tagliargli la testa.

Queste mi sembrano mantenere in qualche misura il significato e mi pare che tutto sommato potrebbero essere realmente usate in senso figurato

- mi dia il"colpo di scure"
- mi dia il colpo d'accetta
- "mi decapiti"
