Abās valodās to vajadzētu lietot gandrīz vienmēr tikai vienskaitlī, jo tas ir vielisks (uncountable) jēdziens. (Agrāk "koda" vietā sacīja - "programmas teksts".)

Vienskaitļa piemēri: "programmētājs raksta kodu" (nevis ".. kodus"), "kompilē kodu", "Latvijas atvērtā (pareizāk gan būtu - "atklātā") koda asociācija".

Ja runā par atsevišķiem koda gabaliem, tad var teikt "izpildāmas programmas", "executables", "executable program[me]s", "executable files".
Parādās arī "izpildkodi", bet tas nav ideāls risinājums.

disagree  Uldis Liepkalns: Nevaru piekrist. Jautājums ir daudzskaitlī. Un, piem. visi vīrusi kopā ir izpildkodi- daudzskaitlī, un tā pat, ja runājam par tiem angliski- tie būs "codes", nevis "code".
