Portuguese term or phrase: Controle social
Hi! In Brazilian Portuguese, they talk about "mecanismos de controle social", which I believe is roughly referring to mechanism either for social change, or, societal monitoring/accountability of the government.
But I have never found a very good translation, does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you!

English translation:Social control mechanisms
Explanation:
Hello! The correct translation of the term might depend on the context, but I would gather that this relates to the sociology term "social control", which roughly translates as the subtle rules that rule our behaviour patterns. In European Portuguese, the translation is direct and simple; so I've found in several psychology and sociology terms. Brazilian Portuguese might be different.

Hope this helps.
