agree  Guy Bray: in mineral processing one would normally say scrubbing, I think. A little further clarification: scrubbing is usually for minerals (in a scrubber!), and washing for coal, but in gold/diamond alluvial mining it would be washing, to separate the fines.

  -> Thank you Guy for the specific lexi. But in this case, we don't know what the ore is but with "broyage" mentioned I would tend to think about minerals.
