Hello. I'm translating a patent into Spanish and I can't find "clearance-modifying agent" even in English. The only reference I find in Internet is to the document I'm translating.

The paragraph goes like this:
An antibody of the invention may be conjugated to other thiol-reactive agents in which the reactive group is, for example, a maleimide, an iodoacetamide, a pyridyl disulfide, or other thiol-reactive conjugation partner [several references]. The partner may be a cytotoxic agent (e.g. a toxin such as doxorubicin or pertussis toxin), a fluorophore such as a fluorescent dye like fluorescein or rhodamine, a chelating agent for an imaging or radiotherapeutic metal, a peptidyl or non-peptidyl label or detection tag, or a clearance-modifying agent such as various isomers of polyethylene glycol, a peptide that binds to a third component, or another carbohydrate or lipophilic agent.

Explanation:
Los procesos de detoxificación de sustancias exógenas, en general con efecto terapéutico, culminan con la eliminación de esa sustancia o sus metabolitos o conjugados de las mismas con glucoronamida por varias vías, renal, etc. Estos agentes modifican la velocidad de eliminación, renal, etc., aumentándola o bajándola o favoreciendo otra vía alterna.
