which transforms itself into/becomes/translates into/results in Explanation: "showing up as" was what came to mind before seeing the context, but it´s not so far off. Tempted to offer transmogrify, never get a chance to use it, but might cause indigestion in target reader!! Mind you, the whole sentence could do with an overhaul couldn´t it, which might push towards another translation of this specific word. |
