Chapéu é o nome que os fabricantes de móveis dão para o teto de uma estante ou guarda roupas. É um tipo de acabamento superior que só a parte da frente e os lados possuem. Consiste em pregar uma ripa de madeira na frente e nos lados e a traseira fica "nua". É só estético, o móvel fica mais bonito.
