for the approval Explanation: "der Zulassung", dative, here means "for the approval" - applicant and owner for the approval are ABC and XYZ. This is how each company should fill in the forms in their respective countries. |

IMO, the meaning may be as follows: Explanation: ABC and XYZ are applying jointly with equal rights for a license (US) / licence (UK) / permit / permission / authorization to import / market the products in ABC's country. Should the license (US) / licence (UK) / permit / permission / authorization be granted, ABC and XYZ will be the joint owners with equal rights of / to the license (US) / licence (UK) / permit / permission / authorization.
