| road runner execution ソク実行、即時断行 Explanation: あまりなじみのない表現です。書いた人の作った表現ではないかと思います。 ですが、アメリカ西部に住んでいる関係から road runner と聞けばソク頭に浮かぶのがこの鳥です。 http://www.m-w.com/mw/art/roadrunn.htm 実に足が速く行動が迅速です。肉食専門ではないでしょうが、ネズミ類などを食べ、捕まえるときの様子はじつにすばやい。 ですからこれはその様子を借りた表現で、「ソク実行、即座に断行」というような意味かと思われますが。 ところでこの鳥は road runner とはせず、一語で綴るのが普通です。 |

peer agreement (net): +2| road runner execution 全力疾走、全力投球 100%の力を投入して仕事を遂行 Explanation: Susan さんの答えも頭に浮かんだのですが、既に提案されているので、他の案だけ書きますね。Road Runner って、むかーしの漫画に出てくるキャラクターです。 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wile_E._Coyote_and_Road_Runner コヨーテに追っかけられるのですが、いつも疾走して逃げ切り、わなを仕掛けたコヨーテが痛い目に遭うというパターンです。私の年代だと、Tom & Jerry の方が馴染みがありますが同じ発想です。いざ仕事と決まったら、全力を出して Get the Job Done! と発想してみました。 この延長線上にあるのが、roadrunner mentality という言葉で、これは、Susan さんの答えと私の答えの両方を合わせたもので、即実行＋全力投球です。プロジェクトマネージメントに関係して出てくる言葉ですが、多少ネガティブな意味に解釈される場合もあります（ウサギとカメのレースの、ウサギに例えて）。 |
