Svenskt synonymlexikon: potentiell = möjlig = possible in English
As for the word "bindningar" - literally "ties" which more freely becomes "connections" - but you can of course pick ties, if you prefer.
The explanation I gave you for jävsförhållanden is exactly that - circumstances that may disqualify you (NOT in the sense of breaking the rules in a sports event, but in the sense of making you UNABLE to keep your objectivity, and that's what "jäv" means. Also from Svenskt synonymlexicon "jävig" = icke opartisk = not impartial = i.e. someone with a conflict of interest. You can of course use disqualifying circumstances, but I believe that is a bit strong here.

Asker: neither possible nor connections means "potentiella or bindningar" as far as my search goes. do you have any references please? also, a search on jävsförhållanden came up as disqualifying circumstances...

agree  Kent Andersson: "possible ties and conflicts of interest: none stated". "Jävsförhållanden" is definately what is normally called "conflicts of interest", and "possible" can definately mean "potentiella" and is the right word to use here.
