Spanish term or phrase: homologable
All the dictionaries and glossaries I have checked give the translation of "homologable" as "comparable" or "equivalent", but in my text it would appear more appropriate if it meant "capable of being approved/endorsed, etc)". Would it ever have this meaning, or did the writers mean to say that their system is comparable, but not necessarily designed with certification to the standard in mind. The context:

"XXXX, en su búsqueda de un mejor servicio, considera primordial desarrollar y mantener a todos los niveles de su organización un Sistema Integrado homologable con las normas UNE/EN/ISO 9000 y 14000."

Notes to answerer
Asker: Because comparable means "like, but not the same as" and it seems unlikely that a company would want a system which was like ISO XXXX, but when you applied for the standard, was not specifically compatible
