Teresa: beat vem do jargão musical, onde significa pulso (uma unidade de pulsação isócrona que serve de referência a figuras ou valores mais longos ou mais curtos, múltiplos ou subdivisões). Em música, seria essa a única resposta correta.

Mas aí isso entrou no coloquial, e no inglês beat serve tanto para pulso (música) como batida (batimentos cardíacos, p.ex.).

Mas essa é uma expressão idiomática em inglês que acho que talvez não seja tão comum no pt. Eu acharia melhor traduzir, no seu caso específico, como "você não vai perder nada". Uma sugestão... : )
