13.1 CABLE DE LÍNEA Y TERMINALES DE CONEXIÓN

R64- El cable de entrada de línea telefónica debe estar constituido por dos conductores flexibles, aislados entre sí. Cada uno de ellos debe contar con hilos de tinsel retorcidos en forma uniforme y con paso adecuado, con sentido contrario al empleado para formarlos. Además, el mismo debe contar con un alma de alguna fibra plástica o de un hilado textil adecuado para brindarle mayor resistencia a la tracción. Por último, ambos conductores deben estar recubiertos exteriormente por una vaina de protección de PVC. El grosor de dicha cubierta exterior debe ser de 0,4 mm a 0,6 mm y no debe presentar, a lo largo del cable, un apartamiento mayor que ± 0,05 mm respecto de su espesor medio. La misma debe estar libre de orificios, grietas, burbujas u otras imperfecciones.

El cable de línea no será retráctil, tendrá una longitud de 2 m ± 10% y, deberá poseer en ambos extremos un conector modular macho tipo USOCRJ11C de acuerdo con lo establecido en la FCC 68.500.
