Explanation:
It would really help to have the complete sentence, tho'.

If you do have a picture and can see what it looks like (and if there are tropical plants in addition to the trees) then tropical garden or landscaping may also work.

I would probably just add that if it were me, I would avoid using 'pelts down,' as to me, this is pretty negative imagery. It sounds like that really painful heavy rain you get when it's raining cats and dogs.
