Se trata de botes que se desplazan a lo largo de un estrecho canal halados desde tierra por mulos que se desplazan a lo largo de la orilla. Quizás se pueda resumir como:

Botes con tracción animal, o algo así.

lo más probable es que, siendo un canal, el tipo de embarcación sea una barcaza, gabarra o chalana; el arrastre desde el camino de sirga, se llama a la sirga, aunque pienso que no es necesario.
