Tech/Engineering - Construction / Civil Engineering / The movie
Japanese term or phrase: シルバー吹き付け
From a document talking about the physical attributes of a building:

主要外部仕上げ:
屋根:外断熱アスファルト防水露出工法、**シルバー吹き付け**
外壁:全面タイル貼り

主要内部仕上げ:
床:モルタル下地の上、御影石貼り...... etc.

I am thinking sprayed silver/silver spray/silver spraying?? But these all sound weird, and I can't find anything in English to corroborate this process. Are they really spraying silver (literally the metal) on a roof?

(Usually these documents do not talk about paint, just the physical construction methods, waterproofing, etc., so I seriously doubt they are talking about silver paint. It has to be some kind of construction or treatment method.)

Has anybody heard of this, and if so what is the right translation? This building was built in 2006.

Thank you.

Spray application of silver film
Explanation:
I found a couple of references that may (or not) be helpful...

http://www.andek.com/H SILVER FILM.htm
SILVER FILM is a very high quality, solar reflective, aluminum, thermoplastic coating that will maintain its bright, reflective appearance for many years. SILVER FILM will adhere to most common substrates, and will outlast and outperform all traditional fibrated aluminum products.
OUTSTANDING FEATURES:
§ Can be used over BUR, rubber, steel, aluminum, previously painted surfaces, and others
§ Reflects 84% of solar heat and protects substrate against rust, corrosion, UV damage and acid rain
§ Easy to apply straight out of the container by brush, roller or **airless spray**

or from http://tinyurl.com/y9bncw
Emissivity is the ability of our coating to re-radiate absorbed solar heat (Far Infrared Rays) back into the atmosphere and not allow the heat to conduct through the roof or wall. Asphalt by comparison has a emissivity rating of about only 5%. ***Asphalt with metallic silver coating *** is only about 25 to 40%. Walls painted with a medium dark color are about the same.

agree  Joe L: SILVER FILM appears to be this company's product name, but under their specs, they refer to it as silver "coating", as does your second link (which I couldn't get to work).
