( A letter to leaders of West Germany, written by a Jewish mother, whose son had been sent to a labor camp. She is trying to help her son to be released from there)
"...that general state of his health is such that he spent 16 months out of last 3 years in hospital, and that, although he is free since as a free worker, meaning in his case that he is a nearly blind invalid."

Does this mean he is almost blind so he is useless to the Communist party..??
