tacit overdraft Explanation: This higher rate of interest becomes effective if you exceed the limit agreed for your regular overdraft. The banks (at least in Germany!) rarely pull you up about exceeding your limit - unless it reaches unmanageable levels. And why would they - the extra 5 % is calculated on the whole of the overdraft, not just the few Euro over your agreed limit! Raynet Business & Marketing Glossary define Tacit as: uspoken but understood. It could fit here also. |

unauthorised overdraft interest rate Explanation: Ich denke, du liegst schon richtig mit "unauthorised overdraft". Im Deutschen wird es etwas positiv mit "geduldet" beschrieben, im Grunde ist es aber nicht erlaubt/genehmigt... When a customer exceeds their authorised overdraft limit, they go into unauthorised overdraft. Exceeding their authorised limit often results in the customer being charged one or more fees, together with a higher rate of lending on the amount by which they have exceeded their authorised overdraft limit (the unauthorised overdraft interest rate). |
