It's describing a tillerpilot, the keys. There are three keys: set/auto, port and starboard. Then you have the compass indicator, the remote socket, the fuse (5A x 20 mm), the power cable, the weathercap (which is said always to fit to socket when not in use) and the beeper (whose hole musn't be blocked). This is an automatic pilot manual for tiller-steered yachts.
