Rogatywka ist die allgemeine polnische Bezeichnung für eine Schirmmütze, die von unterschiedlichem polnischem Militär im Laufe der Zeiten getragen worden ist. Die Rogatywka ist eine entfernt mit ihrem Vorgänger aus dem 19. Jahrhundert verwandte Kopfbedeckung, der Czapka. Die Rogatywka besteht aus einer vierspitzigen Mütze und einer kurzen Blende. Sie war meist aus braunem oder schwarzem Leder.
Sie kommt gewöhnlich in zwei unterschiedlichen Formen vor: die stabilere Rogatywka wird zusammen mit einer Galauniform getragen, während die weichere Mütze für Garnisonsuniformen und polnischen Spähern benutzt wird.

neutral  Andrzej Mierzejewski: nie chodzi o "eine Schirmmuetze", lecz o konkretny kształt/fason czapki (BTW podobno rogatywka nie jest jedyna w świecie i w kilku innych krajach ten kształt też jest używany - nie mam dokładnych informacji)
