Portuguese term or phrase: Ministério do Exército
What would sound normal in this context is: Defense Department, or Minsitry of Defense, etc.; however, I have my doubts since "exército" means army.

A ABC apresenta sua coleção de Coletas à Prova, testados e aprovados pelo Ministério do Exército e considerados de uso permitido para particulares.

Ministry of Defense
Explanation:
I would suggest Ministry of Defense cause we no longer have Ministries of Army, Air Force and Navy in Brazil. They were joined in just one.

disagree  Donna Sandin: Sorry, but custom in the government and diplomatic context is to use Ministry, not to try to Americanize the translation to that extent
13 mins

disagree  Muriel Vasconcellos: I agree with Donna. PLUS, all Latin American ministries have official translations in English (see above). It's not a guessing game.
