I just translated (to Estonian) a Court of EU judgment where French phrase
"statuant avant faire droit au recours /.../" was
"before giving judgment on the application /.../" in English version. Besides, English was said to be the original language. (See first URL)
In another, it was "to decide on the claims" (faire droit aux demandes) (Second URL)
