同種同効薬

English translation: other compounds for same indicators

Japanese to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Pharmaceuticals
Japanese term or phrase: 同種同効薬
I know this is a common phrase in Japanese. Does anyone know the English equivalent? I thought it might be a homologous and therapeutically equivalent drug, but it seems that a therapeutically equivalent drug in English means having the same active ingredient, whereas 同効薬 is applied to drugs with differing active ingredients, but the same type of action (antibacterial).

Thanks! I should have checked the KudoZ glossary. I agree with the original answer provided by goldfish04, I think it should be "with the same indications", but the link you provided was helpful in corroborating this answer.
