Marketing - Cosmetics, Beauty / firming skin creams
French term or phrase: recompactée
These are for promotional materials for a new skin care line. This word is a bit tricky as I would normally say thickened, densified, compacted, solidified but those don't sound right. They have used firmed elsewhere.

Any ideas?
(If it's obvious, forgive me - I've been having long days.)

You were all so helpful, thank you! Suezen's answer covered two places where the term appeared so I used refined and tightened. I think all these terms are rather loosely interchangeable. I just wanted to see if was some word for skin compacting that I had missed! I appreciated all great ideas and links.

firmed

Explanation:
Just a guess as well. No doubt you've used this elsewhere in your translation (often tossed around in skin care ads), but if not, it might work.

sorry Elizabeth, I didn't notice you had written that they have used firmed elsewhere. Long, hot days here, too :-)

agree  Jonathan MacKerron: much better than compressed

-> I think firmed woudl be a good solution in another case, but unfortunately it's already been used in Elizabeth's text. We'll have to keep brainstorming!

Explanation:
Toning seems to be about reducing the amount of space occupied by one's skin!
