agree  Jeffrey Lewis: Would you call 'saisie' sautéed?
10 mins
  -> thanks Jeffrey, "sautéed" might work but I'm honestly not sure

agree  Ingeborg Gowans (X): I had this once as an appetizer, but if you are not sure go with "Brie delight" it keeps the mystery and sounds appetizing
11 hrs
  -> thanks Ingeborg :)

agree  Cervin: & with what Ingeborg says. Maybe 'Seared brie delight'?
12 hrs
  -> thanks Cervin :)

agree  Tony M: I would avoid 'sautéed' because of the different meaning in France, which certainly would NOT apply to Brie! 'pan-seared' is safer / I had something just like this yesterday -- delish!

tasty brie titbit

Explanation:
Saisie is about the fact that this is finger-food, or a buffet snack, not about the preparation method.

Example sentence(s):
  • Il a parlé avec difficulté, sa bouche étant pleine de délice de saisie de brie.

neutral  Tony M: I agree with your basic idea of a nibble, but I think 'titbit' is possibly not an appropriate register for a menu
