Spanish term or phrase: organologia
I am translating transcripts from a medical school in Puerto Rico. The definition I have for "organologia" is: estudio de los organos del cuerpo. But if I put "organology" all I get is the study of organs of plants and animals (besides de music definition).
Any doctors out there that could give me a hand with the term?
Thanks

Asker: Thanks but another course is Anatomia macroscropica (or gross anatomy). I even took a course called human anatomy in college and it was indeed gross anatomy. I am afraid that would not work. Thanks for the suggestion though.

The study of the construction, playing and history of musical instruments.

Explanation:
I agree with Laura. However, the first meaning mentioned in organología in the Diccionario Santillana Esencial is: Tratado de los órganos de los animales o los vegetales. The second is: Parte de la musicología que se ocupa de la construcción, modo de ejecución e historia de los instrumentos musicales. I wouldn´t even use organología in Spanish. I would prefer anatomía.

Asker: thanks for your comment but that is the name of the course. I cannot change it, I just need a good term in English. By they way, the dictionary I am using is exclusively for medicine, not a general dictionary. Thanks though for your comments.
