- Это я бубню? - рассвирепел Лешак. - Вот сейчас как тресну тебя по макушке, чтоб пробки из ушей ***выскочили!***
- Кто ***выскочил?*** Где? - Топотун принялся испуганно озираться по сторонам.

Dear colleagues!
Пытаюсь найти способ передать игру слов, но пока что не очень выходит. Может, кто подкинет наводящую мысль?
(Герой не расслышал слов собеседника, поэтому по-своему воспринял слово “выскочить”.)

Actually I just read more closely above and it should be "knock those earplugs out of your ears." But the igra slov still works.
