non of them suffered/non of them paid Explanation: Porúl járni is when something unfortunate happens to someone as a consequence of some effort or action. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 9 mins (2006-02-06 20:04:12 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- It is PÓRUL JÁRT (past tense). (pórul járni) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 mins (2006-02-06 20:09:39 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Egyik sem járt pórul could also be a sarcastic way of saying that instead of the unfortunate, something good happened to them. They did something and instead of a bad outcome, something good or fruitful happened to them. Eg.: They put all their money on a horse and it paid off for them. |
