Medical - Medical (general)
French term or phrase: établissement de cure
The text is a health insurance proposal and this phrase appears in the following part:

"Au cours des 10 dernières années, avez-vous été en traitement dans un hôpital, un établissement de cure, de désintoxication ou une autre institution suite à une maladie, une dépendance ou un accident?"

I'm trying to find the most appropriate translation of this in English, and there seem to some options appearing in the "usual" dictionary websites (e.g. on the gdt, it appears with the translatioin of "spa", which seems unlikely in this context; and in eurodicautom there are two examples of it meaning "sanatorium", which doesn't wholly convince me in this context either).

I'm tempted to go for the more generic "healing establishment/institution", but was wondering what other proz users thought. Any comments or additional suggestions greatly appreciated.

have you had treatment in a spa ?

Explanation:
"établissement de cure" is something very common in France and I think the best way is to use "spa". Yet, I am not sure if you can say "having treatment" ...

agree  Nikki Scott-Despaigne: The "sécu" does cover stays in health spas - neighbour with bad back went off to Arcachon for 5 days, courtesy of the Sécu, altho we live 15 kms from Quiberon, which is good enough for the President! General cover-all here.
