Zur Verformung wird zumindest der Bereich von der gewünschten Rundung bis zum Rand erwärmt und die ganze Platte in einer stationären Biegevorrichtung geformt. Dabei erweichen die thermoplastischen Schichten und erlauben eine Verschiebung der HPL-Kernlagen gegeneinander zur Bildung der gewünschten Rundung.
