can't be forced into a sales & marketing mould Explanation: one way of putting it (that little prefix 'ver' says a lot with only a few letters...). It's not clear from your context whether this is something John sayhs about himself or something said by others about him, or whether the connotation is negative. Some other possiblities: can't adopt a sales mindset can't be transformed into a sales type is simply/just not sales material -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr 22 mins (2005-12-01 16:51:08 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- If the statement is being made in John's defense, I'd be inclined to go with my first suggestion (can't be forced...), unless the tenor of the argument is that the company made a mistake by putting him in that position in the first place. |
