I feel it has to be a typo, and "sonnette" (door bell) is what first comes to mind, but I have difficulty imagining what an "automatic doorbell" is, unless it's one on a shop door that buzzes when the door is opened. What used to be done by a light beam across the doorway and, before that, a bell mounted ever so slightly below the level of the top of the door ...
