I'd like to thank everyone for your help on this question. The reason that I'm closing without grading is because I ended up asking the client what this meant. When they *finally* got back to me, their only answer was - actually, that part didn't need translating, so don't worry about it... Maybe they didn't know what it meant either! ;-) Even with all the agrees, I am hesitant to grade and put a glossary entry for the translation of "public" or "open gardens", because I think the French would have likely used the very common "jardins publics" in that case. As Rachel says, in French you often see "jardins visible" in the context of "visibles depuis la voie publique". But I can't be 100% sure what the intent was here. Ever the mystery! |
