The entire sentence is:
É preciso conhecer melhor o efeito pressórico do fumo sobre o comportamento da pressão arterial durante as 24 horas do dia, o real nível tensiogênico do organismo e a repercussão sobre os órgãos-alvo.
I haven't even been able to find a good explanation of this in Portuguese. I know that tensio is tension, which could also be stress or strain and gênico is genetic, but even using variations I haven't come up with anything that makes sense.

There is only one case of "tensiogenic" in Google. My medical dictionary (Bantam) doesn't have the term. Had it been there, I wouldn't have posted a different answer.

I agree that tensiogenic does not exist, the hit on Google is a document translated from Italian into English. However your answer is also not correct. Tensiogênico is a synonym for pressórico. I discovered this from a doctor that is also a medical translator.

Explanation:
Two words there are not in Aurélio: pressórico and tensiogênico, so the best you can do is just guess what they mean. I think the person wants to know how smoking affects blood pressure (efeito pressórico do fumo) but to do that, you need to know what the person´s blood pressure would be (real nível tensiogênico) if the person didn´t smoke or maybe if the blood pressure were taken in the morning, before the first cigarette of the day. IMO, words like basal, biological, natural etc. are not appropriate here because blood pressure is influenced by diet and environmental factors, especially stress.
