Explanation:

Hi Yueyin, I guess the "d" might mean"deformed" .

I noticed \"non-nucleotidic linker\" in your context, which is exactly what I meant in my explanation for \"这个DSPACER特殊,只有一个位点,没有氮碱,甚至没有磷酸化(这可能也是显示其结构图的原因),故不能称之为核苷酸位点或核苷位点\". From your context, the dSPACER is not singly between gerns. Rather, it is among the sequence of SPACERs, which are 0 to 12 nucleotides long. I am sorry for not reading your context carefully.

Jianming,

The link and explanations you provided did help me get a better understanding about dSpacer. I also conducted my own research. Several documents indicate that “dSpacer is used to introduce a stable abasic site”, which implies that “abasic dSpacer” is not equal to “abasic site”. So, it may be more appropriate to translate “abasic dSpacer” as 无碱基间隔基. I will also put (dSpacer) after 无碱基间隔基 to distinguish it from ordinary spacers. Thank you all so much for your time and help!
