Not to be missed are the Sistine Chapel with one of the most beautiful frescoed ceilings in the world by Michelangelo, the rooms frescoed by none less than Raffaello and the Gallery of the Maps.

I am unable to make a sense of Gallery of the Maps in the above context. Could you explain the same?

Actually, I believe I should have said, "This is a list of three different sights that should be seen when visiting the Vatican." The Gallery of the Maps is one of the Vatican Museums and is not in the Sistine Chapel.

According to the site:
Gallery of the Maps: Gregory XIII (1580-1585) was responsible for the contruction of the Gallery of Maps. Here you can find forty map frescoes showing the topography of the regions of Italy and the possessions of the Church. The frescoes were painted, by ntoinio Danti, between 1580 and 1583 after cartoons by the Dominican priest, Fr Ignazio Danti, a distinguished geographer of the time.

As JaneTranslate pointed out there should be a comma before "and" as the sentense is a list of all these world masterpieces found in the Chapel. In essence, Raffaello is not the artist who painted these fresco maps. Placing comma before "and" makes it clear. Then you found out by above description who is the painter.

Since the Sistine Chapel and the Gallery of the Maps are two different things, as Jane pointed out, and since the text is on the whole not well written (I happened to find the relevant link while searching), I think the sentence should be restructured:

this is just a possibility.
in other words, what you have is a coordinate structure with two(not three) conjuncts:
...are [the Sistine Chapel...Raffaello] and [the Gallery of the maps].
the first conjunct (namely, the Sistine Chapel...) contains a compund adjunct, i.e., [one of the most ...by M. AND the rooms by R.].
i believe the comma after Raffaello is optional. you don't really need it (especially given that the verb is "are" and therefore the subject must be plural), but it may help the reader parse the whole sentence (given that the first conjunct is so "heavy").
Another possibility, of course, would be to rephrase the whole sentence, keeping in mind, of course, that the things "not to be missed" are two, not three.

you could also perhaps invert the two conjuncts. usually i hesitate to resort to this strategy, as the meaning could somehow be affected. but since this is a kind of list of what people can see, inverting the conjuncts doesn't seem to harm the sentence.

Not to be missed are the Gallery of the Maps and the Sistine Chapel, with one of the most beautiful frescoed ceilings in the world by Michelangelo and the rooms frescoed by none less than Raffaello.
