Tech/Engineering - IT (Information Technology) / confusing phrase
French term or phrase: S’il devait se faire au cours de l’installation
S’il devait se faire au cours de l’installation que vous ayez un (ou plusieurs) messages vous signalant que l’un ou l’autre fichier n’a pas pu être recopié, pas d’affolement, il suffit de cliquer sur Recommencer pour poursuivre. Le seul processus d’installation, qui prend un certain temps en raison de la taille du programme, est déjà un régal pour les yeux.

The previous sentence simply tells us to use Setup.exe for installation. what exactly is "il" ? It can't be installation during installation. Have deadline.

English translation:If it should happen / If the situation should arise
Explanation:
Or possibly even just "If..." (on its own)

As for "régal", the expression "c'est un régal pour les yeux" is given in Collins as "it's a sight for sore eyes" AND "it's a treat to look at", so I guess you'll have to judge from the context which fits best!

Thanks to all - this answer really clarified it for me. The French text must have been written by a non-native, so I became suspicious...even here, when I shouldn't have been. I used "visual delight" for régal but thanks for all the lovely ideas :-)

Explanation:
...installation

in fact : one or more messages during installation (they spell it out)

and as far as a régal pour les yeux, I have seen some rather jazzed installation programs, so maybe I would not go as far, as 'un régal", but 'a pleasure to watch" might be OK

S'il devait se faire que always comes around in English..
S'il devait se faire qu'il ne reussit pas ses examens..

Should he fail his exams...it is just politer than being so direct..
