platinisme gyroscopique Explanation: This is about the Fountainbridge collective, right? Searching for "prominent low end theories", I found several hits qualifying their turntablism as gyroscopic - hence "gyroscopique". See here for a brief definition of turntablism: http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/features/vinyl/turntable.shtml (basically - using the turntable as an instrument in itself) I then took a punt on the possibility that French for this would be platinisme (as platine = turntable) and bingo! See point 39 (!) on this page: http://www.crtc.gc.ca/archive/FRN/Notices/2000/PB2000-12.htm although a general google on "platinisme" will confirm, I think. Sorry for writing in English, it was quicker - I don't do translation into French, but your question attracted my attention. (I would guess "platinisme a 360 degres" with accents as appropriate might be closer to your original...) |
