Though \'introductive\' may get you quite a few hits on Google, please note that
(1) it is also a French word
(2) it is rare in English. You will only find it in the bigger dictionaries (OED, Websters Third International), not the medium-sized ones such as the New Oxford Dictionary or the American Heritage.

You may even find three occurrences of \"introductive notions\" on Google. Bad English.
So my answer to your question is: Yes, it sounds English. But it sounds either wrong or affected.

On the other hand, you will get something like 4,000 hits for \"Introductory thoughts\" (which means the same as your i.n.), 70,000 hits for \"Introductory notes\" and zillions for Introduction.

To reply to your question, you\'re probably looking for the term, \"introductory\", not \"introductive. Good luck!
