Explanation:
If the fabric has vertical cut-pile stripes (wales), it would be called corduroy.
'Fløjl' is used for both velvet and corduroy - the latter is sometimes called 'jernbanefløjl', but that can be perceived as slightly derogatory coming from certain fashion police officers. I wouldn't use it here.
