Japanese term or phrase: 血の結晶

This is taken from a rule-of-the-dojo recited by karateka; the full phrase is, 型は故人の血の結晶である、一切改良するべからず。 It's pretty vivid and colourful in Japanese but I'm looking for a way to put it into maybe a bit plainer English. "型" by the way is "form(s)", ie, a set sequence of movements that incorporate various karate "技". Cheers for your help.

結晶is quite popular expression to describe something you produced or made.

You can use it like 努力の結晶、技術力の結晶。
Crystalization is a hard work. To get something crystalized is takes time and need a lot of energy.

血の結晶、I wouldn¥'t translate literally...
crown of labor or harvest of sweat blood...

血の結晶 embodiment of

Explanation:
I would forget about 血 as you already pointed out it is not literal. Although what it meant is not just "blood" but also "sweat"(you know common Japanese cliche 血と汗の結晶.)
Because the sentence is meant for deceased person, sweating is too vivid.
For something intangible, yet remembered long after his death, I would call it an "embodiment" of (that person).
