When I click on a folder icon a window opens. By default this window is rather small, I do not see the date colums. I can increase the window size with the mouse, but in the next session all is again the same, window too small. Is there someone among you that knows how to change the default size of this window so that it is preserved even after the computer is turned on again? This has annoyed me for years, but perhaps there is a solution?
Regards Heinrich

Ctrl-Close
Dec 8, 2005
Arrange the window just the way you like it, then press Ctrl and click on the x at the top right of the window to close it. This forces Windows to save the settings.
This also saves other attributes such as column widths and position, and sort order (by name, date, size, etc).
