Hi, I have Dragon 10 and need to reinstall it in a new computer. Does anybody know how to retrieve all of the old user files that contain all the words I added and the optimization files? Thanks Nicky

In my DNS 11 install, this is where the user profile is: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking11\Users I don't think it has changed much since version 10.

error code E_FAIL

Thanks, but when I copied my old user files from my old computer and imported them using Dragon user management. The files are imported but when I try to open the user that I have created I get an error message saying "COM returned an expected error code. Details:E_FAIL". Do you know what that means? You need to use the "backup" user function

Profile>Manage user Profiles>Advanced> and then either export or backup.
I haven't had much luck (it said my user profile was corrupted), but read the help files on this item and maybe you can figure it out.

Thanks to everybody - I managed to solve the COM E_ FAIL error message simply by installing the latest Dragon service pack - problem solved!
