I'd always like to see the complete topic thread when I respond. Thread poster: Gerard de Noord

When responding to a topic, I can sometimes scroll through the topic while composing my answer but most of the time I have to click on Topic Review. I often have to click on Topic Review: it's so embarrassing to misspell a colleague's name or miss the initial point etc. Wouldn't it be better if we could always scroll through the topic when we compose an answer? I thought the same thing every time I respond to a topic!

Yes, I've thought that myself on a number of occasion. I definitely agree with this idea.

This has been already suggested by someone a long time ago, with no success. Sure, we have the link to the complete topic thread, but seing it right away would be much better. A having the possibility to sort the thread list by the last post would be also great.

Another possibility may be to be able to save what we've already typed while looking over the thread again, and then continue where we left off.

It would be nice. In the meantime, I often open two tabs (or two windows), one with the reply I'm working on, and the other with the complete thread.

I've often wondered why that feature hasn't been implemented yet...

Er, I was going to say something but forgot what everyone was talking about when I started to reply.

I think this feature would be very helpful. Also, someone had previously suggested an extra screen to double check a post before it appears directly on the thread. That way, we could catch certain errors before having to go back and edit them out.

Like the lady from Mexico (goodwords? sorry, I can't remember your name, and can't see the forum from here!), I usually open a separate window with the thread when composing an answer. This isn't an ideal solution, though, as I like to keep the number of windows open to a miminum, and I've often thought being able to scroll through the whole post would be much easier. If it can be implemented fairly easily, it would definitely be a great addition.
